Inez Retha McCallister

Inez Retha McCallister, age 87, of Clarkesville, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Born on October 26, 1937, in Demorest, she was a daughter of the late Estes Littleton and Ethel Ivester Littleton.  Inez was retired having worked for Carwood Manufacturing, Clarkesville Garment, Academy Garment, Yonah Realty and Fieldale Farms, over the years.  She enjoyed crocheting and quilting, gardening and canning, and is remembered as a wonderful cook, who was known for her biscuits.  Inez attended Providence Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Frank Lee McCallister; son, Jerry Lee McCallister; brothers, Gatha Littleton and Luther Littleton; sisters, Leona McCallister, Claudine Nelms, Delores Pless, and infant Dorothy Littleton.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Vivian McCallister and Becky Stamey (Rick); daughter-in-law, Karen Ballew McCallister; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 2 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church with Dr. Don Drawdy and Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the funeral home.
