Dianne Lee Colston Shaw

Dianne Lee Colston Shaw, affectionately known as, “Dicey Mae”, age 59 of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 02, 2025.

Born in Gainesville, Georgia on July 26, 1965, she was a daughter of the late Weldon Earnest “Doc” & Betty Autry Colston. Dianne graduated from Habersham Central High School, Class of 1983 and received her degree in accounting from North Georgia Technical College. She was a caregiver for many years and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In her spare time, Dianne enjoyed cooking, drawing, and most of all, spending precious time with her family. She was a caring and loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Matthew Young Scroggs of Cornelia, GA; sister, Joye Colston Dodd (Ricky); brothers, David (Sandy) Colston, Randy Colston all of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren, Cara Scroggs, Mya Scroggs, T.J. Wright, & Ada Jaymes Plum; great-grandchild, Iris Scroggs; several nieces & nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 11 am until 1 pm, to honor Dianne’s Life.
