Mrs. Brenda Carter, age 68, departed this life on Thursday January 23,2025 at New Horizon Lanier Park. She was born on February 10th, 1956, in Gainesville, GA to her late parents Rev. Willie T. Jackson and Bobbie C. Jackson.
Brenda Ann Carter attended White Sulphur Elementary and graduated from East Hall High School. She worked at both Gainesville Middle School and Challenged Child as a Paraprofessional. Brenda loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She always kept a smile upon her face and would give anyone the clothes off of her back. When she encounters people, she will show them so much love by giving them gentle hugs and sweet kisses on the cheeks. She was a loving, caring God-fearing woman who enjoyed life until she took her last breath. She is known for her famous banana pudding that her nieces and nephews would fight over, lol. Her mission was to do what the Lord led her to do and make a difference in other people’s lives. Throughout her trials and tribulations, she managed to keep a smile upon her face. Her spirit, her praise, her worship and all the laughs we experienced with her along with all the tears we shed with her and for her will always remain with us.
She is preceded in death by her father the late Rev. Willie T. Jackson (Father); Bobbie C. Jackson (Mother); Courtney Jackson (daughter); Late Pastor D. T. Jackson(brother); Francis Gaudlock (Sister); Willie Ree Jackson (sister); Corine Lott (sister); Peggy A. Jackson (Sister).
She leaves to cherish her memories Rev. Darrell Carter (Husband), Marche' Young (Daughter), Minister Linda Akonchong (Twin Sister) and Jerry Jackson (Brother), aunt Betty Little, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Wimberly Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
