Genevieve "Genny" Bishop Tallman

Genevieve “Genny” Bishop Tallman, age 91 of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at her residence.
 
Born in Lyons, Georgia on October 5, 1933, Mrs. Tallman was the daughter of the late Perry Bishop and the late Mamie Simpson Lovell.  Mrs. Tall man and her late husband Jerry moved to Clarkesville in 1986 and she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tallman is preceded in death by brother Eugene Bishop, sister Louise Turner and grandson John Patrick Tallman.

Survivors include son and daughter in law Mike and Yvette Tallman of Clarkesville, son Brady Tallman of Clarkesville, grandchildren Michael Tallman (Halee) of Hilliard, Florida, Jamie Lee Tallman of Jacksonville, Florida and Ashley Tallman of Jacksonville, Florida, great grandchildren Julia Ann Tallman of Jacksonville, Piper Renae Tallman, Paylin Ray Tallman and Palmer Michael Tallman of Hilliard, Florida, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Hillside Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Hobie Wood, officiating.  Interment will follow the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 12-1 PM.
