Marie Mason

Marie Mason, 52, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday January 30, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born October 24, 1972, Marie had been a resident of Dawson County for most of her life.  She devoted 25 years to the Dawson County School System where she worked as a bus driver and administrator.  Marie was a very hard worker and always taking care of others.  She enjoyed puzzles, her family and most of all spending time with her beloved granddaughter.  Her father, Doug Mason preceded her in death.

Surviving are her son, Cody Mason (Haley) of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Peyton Mason; mother, Sonja Mason of Dawsonville; brother, Tim Mason (Shelley) of Dawsonville; niece, Jocelyn Mason.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Tim Mason will officiate.  Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday February 2, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset final expenses.
