Minnie Ruth Brookshire Williams

Minnie Ruth Brookshire Williams, age 89, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Mrs. Williams was born on October 29, ,1935 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Joseph Norman Brookshire, Sr. and Ruth Foster Brookshire. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Bill Robert Williams; and her sister, Geneva Brookshire Carter.

Minnie was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She had been employed with Carwood Manufacturing and Scovill Manufacturing, before working and retiring from Habersham Medical Center.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Norman Brookshire, Jr. and Joann Brookshire, of Demorest; brother, Claude David Brookshire, of Clarkesville and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Minnie's caregivers, Tracy Arrowood, Travis and Samantha Purdy, Doria Purdy, Ann Turpin, and her nurses from Northeast Georgia Hospice, Jamie, Becky, and Ajia.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Dr. Josh Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
