Nathan Daniel Baxter

Mr. Nathan Daniel Baxter, age 85, of Athens, GA died Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Baxter was born in Commerce to the late Hugh M. and Wretha Jeanette Adams Baxter. He was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church and was retired from Aldridge, Inc.

Mr. Baxter is survived by his wife, Marsha Spurlack Baxter of Athens; daughters, Debra Baxter Hiland of Hartwell, Danna Baxter Green Huntsinger of Commerce, Jessica Yates Carter of Cordele and Marnie Yates Walker of Athens; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, February 2 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from noon until 2 PM.
