Donald Thomas Heard

Donald Thomas Heard, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Linda Alexander Heard; son Rusty Heard; parents, Truman and Ellene Cheser Heard; brother, Winton Heard; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Willie Alexander; sisters-in-law, Barbara A. Brown, Shirley A. Mason, and Marsha Alexander. Mr. Heard is survived by his son, Tommy (Kathy) Heard of Gainesville, GA; grandchild, Marie-Frances Harlow (Devon) Denman ; brother, Randall (Carol) Heard of Auburn, GA; sister-in-law, Dovie Moore Heard of Loganville, GA; brother-in-law, Perry Mason of Lawrenceville, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Heard was born May 28, 1940. He was a 1958 graduate of Buford High School. Mr. Heard was a Home Builder for many years before retiring. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved NASCAR.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Mr. Richard McGaha officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
