Larry Jay Williams, Sr.

Larry Jay Williams, Sr., age 82, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Mr. Williams was born on April 19, 1942 to the late Presley and Valley Moore Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Jay Williams, Jr.; brother, Edwin Williams; and his sister, Dorothy Morris. Larry was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Larry was a member of BC Grant Baptist Church and had retired from Mt. Vernon Mills with over 40 years of dedicated service. Larry was a licensed pilot, and enjoyed flying airplanes as well as riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Bettie Ivie Williams, of Alto; granddaughter, Trinity; nephews and spouses, Greg and Kim Morris, of Alto; Richie and Joyce Morris, of Baldwin; and niece, Gail Williams Welborn.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
