Lillian Julia Phillips, a cherished matriarch and a distinguished retired Real Estate Agent, departed this life on January 25, 2025, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Georgia. Born on April 9, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, Lillian graced the world with her presence for nearly eight decades, leaving behind a legacy richly woven with love, ambition, and joy.
In her professional life, Mrs. Phillips was known for her exceptional service as a real estate agent, where she skillfully guided many families in finding their perfect homes. Her passion for her work radiated through her interactions, making her not only a remarkable agent but also a trusted advisor whose wisdom was sought by many.
Beyond her career, Lillian found immense happiness in her role as a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren brought her great joy, serving as the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Dawn Ferry, Doreen (Mo) Donoho, and Melanie Phillips; her son, Benjamin Phillips (Abi), who will forever cherish the love and lessons she imparted. Additionally, her vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Payton Phillips, Andrew Ivey, Shona Herron, Carianne Phillips, and Victoria Phillips, along with her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Herron.
A member of The Red Hat Society, Lillian was a passionate supporter of women’s camaraderie, advocating for Fun, Friendship, Freedom, Fitness, and the fulfillment of lifelong dreams. She embraced life with an open heart, nurturing her passions, which often included tending to her beloved garden—her sanctuary where she reveled in the beauty of nurturing growing things.
Lillian's essence was further enriched by her connections with family and friends, yet her journey was tempered by the memories of those who have passed. She mourned the losses of her first husband, Charles J. Ferry, her second husband, Larry Phillips, and her son, Charles J. Ferry II. Each of these individuals held a significant place in her life, and their absence was felt deeply.
Lillian Julia Phillips will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but, more poignantly, for her loving spirit, her unwavering support of her family, and her zest for life. She leaves behind a community of loved ones whose lives she touched, and her memory shall be a guiding light to those fortunate enough to have known her.
In accordance with Mrs. Phillip's wishes, a cremation has taken place.
