Mrs. Jimmie Louise Edge, 90, a native of Hall County, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Wilson will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on September 29, 1934 in Gainesville, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Pearl Elliott Hallman. She was the second born of five children. She was married to Alton Edge of Alton Edge Wrecker Service for 64 years and 8 months, before his passing in 2019. She worked alongside him in the business as the dispatcher for the drivers and did the business accounting. She frequently detailed cars after Alton restored them. She was willing to do most anything that was needed to assist her husband. In their spare time they enjoyed camping, spending time with family and traveling to multiple states with their beloved friends and neighbors. Mrs. Edge was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edge was preceded in death by her husband, Alton E. Edge; sons, Randall “Randy” Edge, Ronnie Edge; son in law, Todd Reeves; grandson, Jason Edge and granddaughter, Jill Edge.
Mrs. Edge is survived by her son, Ricky Edge of Gainesville; daughter, Angie Edge Strickland of Oakwood; daughter and son in law, Vicky and Tim Millwood of Hoschton; daughters, Lisa McClure Dover of Oakwood, Susan Reeves of Flowery Branch; daughter in law, Judy Elrod Edge of Gainesville; sister, Mary Townsend of Lula; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
