Lillie Mae Towe Jarvis

Lillie Mae Towe Jarvis, age 89, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was preceded in death in 2021 by her husband of sixty years, Charles J. Jarvis; son, James Neal Jarvis; parents, Zee and Ruby Carver Towe; brothers, Harlie “Bill” Towe and James H. “Jim” Towe. Mrs. Jarvis is survived by children, Samuel and Gina Jarvis of Cumming, GA, Kimberly Jarvis Armstead and husband Russell of Sugar Hill; step-children, Linda Jarvis Gifford of Westville, OK, Carolyn Jarvis Franks of Texas; grandchildren, Krista Jarvis McDaniel and husband Mike, Jacob McNeese, Matthew McNeese, Jonathan Jarvis, Caleb Armistead, Timothy Armistead; sisters, Lorene Towe Walker, Wilma Towe Stover, Ruth Towe Reynard and husband Randy; brother, Paul Crawford Towe; sister-in-law, Sheila Towe; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sam and Charlotte Martin; as well as numerous family members.

Mrs. Jarvis was born on March 20, 1935 in Blairsville, GA and graduated in 1954 from Union County High School. She retired from Internal Revenue Service after twenty-five years of service. Mrs. Jarvis was a member of Buford Church of God, where she taught Sunday School for two and three year olds, and where she was a member of the choir, Primetimers Senior group, Abundant Life Sunday School, and the Widow’s Might group. Mrs. Jarvis had been attending Oakwood Church of God for the past year.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Cromwell and Pastor Bob Trejo officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18 at the funeral home.
