Arletta Joan (Jensen) Roberts

Arletta Joan (Jensen) Roberts, of Dacula, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the age of 82.

Arletta was born in 1942 in Belgrade, MN. She later lived in Illinois before eventually settling in Georgia in 1987 to be closer to family. She retired in 2017 from the corporate office of Waffle House after twenty years of working in their accounting department in Norcross, GA.

Born with a green thumb, Arletta enjoyed working with plants and her home was always filled with them. She was also an excellent cook and well known for her delicious “Apple Betty” dessert. She was an avid reader and particularly liked learning about health and wellness. Arletta also enjoyed bowling, sewing, crocheting, and bird watching.

A beloved Mom and Grandma, Arletta will be remembered as a kind, gentle spirit who was quick to laugh and loved her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Arletta was preceded in death by her parents, Holger and Lettie (Dahl) Jensen; twin sisters, Lorna and Leona Jensen, all of Belgrade, MN; and sister, Beulah Hendrickson of Gaithersburg, MD.

She is survived by her sons, Rusty Bjork of Dahlonega, GA; Darin Bjork of Dacula, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Kim Bjork of Hoschton, GA; brother, James Jensen of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Phillip Bjork and Ashley Hinsen of Fairbury, IL; Darin, Jr. and Alex Bjork of Sugar Hill, GA; Tiffany and Ryne Caldwell of Winder, GA; Kaitlyn Bjork of Athens, GA; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A private memorial to celebrate Arletta’s life will be held at a later date.
