William Riggins

William Riggins, age 89, of Kennesaw, GA passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was preceded in death in 2019 by his wife of 62 years, Ellen Garner Riggins; father, Bothwell Riggins; mother, Eva Nolen Riggins; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Rosa Higgins Garner; brother, Thomas Riggins.

Mr. Riggins is survived by his daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Riggins of Kennesaw, GA; brother, Paul (Jackie) Riggins of Hilton Head, SC; sister, Louise Riggins Shelley of Acworth, GA; sister-in-law, Dottie Riggins of Tamarac, FL; sister-in-law, Clara Garner of Norcross, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Riggins was born October 6, 1935 in Marietta, GA. He was a Navy Veteran. Mr. Riggins was a 1953 graduate of Marietta High School, Marietta, GA. Mr. Riggins was a retired Insurance Underwriter for USFG and Travelers Insurance Co. He was a member of Holt Road Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Eric Holcombe officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Hill Cemetery, Sugar Hill, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
