Royce Edward Cleveland, 84, of Gainesville, passed away on January 12, 2025 at his home.
Born in Helen, Georgia on December 2, 1940, Mr. Cleveland was the son of the late C.C. and Viola McCay Cleveland. He worked in the construction industry until he retired and was a chicken farmer in Banks County for several years. He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and woodworking, creating custom fiddles and dollhouses for family and friends.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Denver Bond, Gillsville; grandchildren, Misty and Jeff Perry, Gillsville; Kimberly Nelson, Gainesville; and Lori and Jonathan Sandoval, Cumming; and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cleveland is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kinsey Cleveland; daughter, Wanda Lomax; two sisters and one brother.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Banks County. Rev. John Wayne Abernathy will officiate. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday, January 15 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
