Elizabeth Bernhardt

Elizabeth Bernhardt, age 69, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at home, in her sleep, on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Elizabeth was born on November 15, 1955, in Tenafly, N.J., to the late Richard Lange, Jr. and Mary Tice Lange.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Stacy Schaefer.  Liz, as she was known to her family and friends, worked as a skilled lab tech in addition to her home making.  She will be remembered as loving, kind, and funny. A person who loved her family above all, and the best friend you could ask for.  She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her. 

Survivors include her husband, Michael Bernhardt; daughter and son-in-law, Alexis and Shannon Phagan; grandchildren, Deven Sutliff and Aubree Weaver; son, Michael Bernhardt, Jr.; daughter and spouse, Heather and Jack Levine; daughter, Katherine Bernhardt; sister, Jessica Lange; brother, Phillip Lange; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Deborah Lange; a host of other family and friends also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
