Gary Longueuil passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Webb; his two sons, Donald (Mackenzie) Longueuil and Andrew (Elda) Longueuil; his two stepdaughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Webster and Stephanie (Andy) Matz; his two sisters, Linda Longueuil and Lori Arnone; seven grandchildren; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Virginia Longueuil.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 25, 2025, at 1 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church, 3765 Mountain View Rd., Gainesville.
Gary was born on October 9, 1947, in Cordell, Oklahoma, but moved as an infant to Somers, Connecticut, where he grew up and graduated from Somers High School. With the encouragement of a friend, he attended and graduated from Purdue University in Indiana, later earning an MBA from the University of Bridgeport.
A proud and loyal Purdue alumnus, Gary served as an officer in the local Purdue Club of Atlanta. He was also actively involved in the Republican Party, serving as an officer in the local GOP, the 9th District, and on the State Committee. He was also actively involved in his Homeowners Association.
Gary enjoyed traveling for both work and pleasure and had a deep passion for reading, particularly about history, mysteries, fire trucks, and the Bible. His love of fire trucks came from his father being a volunteer fireman for 40 years. He cherished his time at Mountain View Baptist Church and the community that became like family to him.
Gary lived a life filled with love, purpose, and dedication and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
