LaDyne Rae “Deanie” (Barge) Bradshaw

LaDyne Rae “Deanie” (Barge) Bradshaw passed away on January 10, 2025.

Deanie was born April 3, 1939 in Canton, Ohio to the late John G. Barge and late Dorothy Dwyer Barge. She worked as a seamstress for Clayburne Manufacturing.

Deanie never met a stranger. She was a woman of faith who loved the Lord and her church. Deanie played many roles at Persimmon Church of God. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, bible school director, and Christmas play director. Deanie enjoyed reading, crocheting, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, Deanie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alvin Clinton Bradshaw.

Her survivors include two sons, Richard Bradshaw and John Bradshaw (Lynn), all of Clayton, Georgia; four daughters, Dorothy Hopper (Wesley), of Rabun Gap, Georgia, Julie Bradshaw, of Clayton, Georgia, Anita Hunnicutt (Charles), of Mountain City, Georgia, Lynn Lowery (Robby), of Mountain Rest, South Carolina; sister, Patty Lightfoot; and brother, George Barge (Darlene); eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive her. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 2:00pm-3:00pm Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Persimmon Church of God in Clayton, Georgia with a funeral service following at 3:00pm. Interment will take place after the service in Blalock Cemetery.
