It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our deeply beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Carolyn Ann Monroe, who left us on January 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in her final moments at her home in Cleveland Georgia. She was born on December 8, 1942, to Lester Morris Bishop and Vera Mae Coleman in Swainsboro, Georgia.
Carolyn worked in the retail industry for most of her career until she retired in the early 80’s. She enjoyed working outdoors in her yard and was an avid flower and houseplant gardener. She also had a love for thrifting and finding special and one-of-a-kind treasures to decorate her home with.
Carolyn’s best time was spent with her loving husband of 30 years, and the pets she loved and lost throughout her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Prentice Munroe, brothers, Bobby Bishop and Charles Bishop, sons-in-laws, Derek Stone and Edwin Harrell, granddaughter, Hailey Fletcher, and grandson, Eric Anderson.
Carolyn leaves behind the cherished memories of her three children: daughters, Deborah Harrell and Barbara Stone and son, Michael Barbier; grandchildren, Christina Anderson, Amanda Atha and husband Dustin, Tiffany Barbier, Brandy Barbier, and Steven Jaworski; great-grandchildren, Ireland Barbier, and Cooper Atha.
