Billy Couch

Billy Couch,89 of Gainesville passed away at his residence on Monday January 6, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Couch was the son of the late Ebb and Josephine Grindle Couch. He was retired from Lockheed, where he had worked for 42 years. Mr. Couch was a member and deacon of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Craig Couch, Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Brian Lykins, Gainesville, daughter-in-law, Vicki Couch, Flowery Branch, grandchildren, Drew and Rebekah Couch, Flowery Branch, Cody Couch, Flowery Branch, Kyle Couch, Flowery Branch, Kayla and Jeremy Brown, Zebulon, Ga., Cole Lykins, Brina Lykins, Brooke Lykins, all of Gainesville, Melissa Notebaet, Flowery Branch, great grandchildren, Samson, Hadley and Morgan, sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Olin Chastain, Buford, sister, Virginia Segars, Canton. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Couch is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Gilleland Couch, daughter, Janie Sue Couch, son, Chris Couch and a granddaughter, Crystal Couch.

Due to the weather Mr. Couch's funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. David Matthews will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday January 9 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
