Mrs. Evelyn Lucille Roach Adams, age 82 of Bogart and formerly of Stephens County passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
A daughter of the late Oscar Roach and Lucille Brock Roach, she was born July 8, 1942 in Banks County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was retired from Toccoa Nursing Center as a C.N.A. with a number of years of service. She was a member of Christ Fellowship. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and great-great-great grandmother. She loved being outdoors doing gardening and enjoyed her chickens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Olin Adams.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Donald Waldrop of Bogart, Georgia, Cathy and Mike Miller of Martin, Georgia and Beverly Bohannon of Toccoa; sons and daughter-in-law, Randall and Carla Adams of Eastanollee, Leonard and Cathy Adams of Martin, Scooter Adams of Bogart, Rex and Tammy Adams of Anderson, South Carolina and Russell and BJ Adams of Toccoa; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild; sister, Bill Jordan of Carnesville; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 10, 2025, 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Don Scott and The Reverend Scott Collett officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Joshua Adams, Joey Adams, David Mallowry, Josh Bohannon, Cameron Adams and Tyson Adams. The following will serve as honorary pallbearers, Harold Smith, C.J. McDaniel, Michael Miller, Christopher Adams, Austin Adams and John Williams.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Homer, Georgia beside her husband, Buford Olin Adams.
