Jean Knowlton Pasell

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Knowlton Pasell on January 5, 2025, at the age of 78. Jean passed peacefully surrounded by her family, after a sudden battle with an illness.

Jean was born on April 17, 1946, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, to David and B. Lucille Knowlton. 

Jean had a way to make connections with all those she met. She was an avid reader, loved playing cards and found great joy in traveling. Jean cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her children Scott (Samantha) Pasell and Molly (Michael) Weatherford, her grandchildren Hailey Weatherford, Tyler Weatherford, Stephen Pasell and Bethany Pasell, and extended family and friends, all of whom she adored deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Stephen Pasell. Her parents, David and B. Lucille Knowlton. Two brothers, Donald Knowlton and Duane Knowlton and one sister, Janet Knowlton Grant.

A graveside service will be held in Lyndonville, Vermont during the summer of 2025.

Jean's legacy will live on in the many lives she touched with her kindness, grace, and generosity. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
