She opened her own Daycare center at one point, later to continue her nursing career at Emory University. She worked for Curaflex company and in 1989 was voted Nurse of the Year. She was a giver and dedicated her life to serving others, saving lives and touching lives. She fed the hungry with Hosea Williams in the Atlanta Feeding the Hungry program, she was a member of the African Violet Club, she loved Roses and gardening flowers. She loved to sew and make clothes for others.  Her most fun times were shared with her dogs that lived to be 19 years old.  She always felt called as a missionary and prayed for the sick.  She was a blessing to her family and so many around her.
