Mr. Roger Daniel Dean, age 77 of Highway 17, Toccoa passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville. 

A son of the late Charles Cason Dean and Zanera Thomas Dean, he was born November 14, 1947 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a retired self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Confidence Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Foster Dean in 2016.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Kimberly Carrouth Gibbs Dean; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Scott Rector of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Bubby and Valerie Dean of Newnan, Georgia; daughters and son-in-law, Holly Gibbs of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Nikki and Michael Wald of Clemson, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Laura Gibbs of Aynor, South Carolina; grandchildren, Braden and Marley Dean, Jordan and Joseph Romo, Blythe Wald, Carsen Gibbs, Preston Gibbs and Wrenley Gibbs; great-grandchild, Magnolia Dean; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Peggy Dean of Toccoa; one niece.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 11, 2025, 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Bruce McGee officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until the service time at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Confidence Methodist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Roger Daniel Dean.
