Betty Jean Teague, 90 of Gainesville passed away Sunday January 5, 2025, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville,
Born in Ft. Payne, Alabama, Mrs. Teague was a former resident of Doraville, Ga. before moving to Hall County in 2019. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Carrie Mae Keith Hurtt. Mrs. Teague retired from Sears, where she worked at their Distribution Center. She was a member of Believers Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Ga. and she also attended Sardis Baptist Church here in Gainesville for a number of years.
Survivors include her son, Barry Teague, Bethlehem, Ga., son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Patty Teague, Bowman, Ga., daughter-in-law, Lisa Teague, Dacula, Ga., grandchildren, Sean Teague, Gainesville, Ga., Jeremy Teague, Bowman, Ga., Nathan Teague, Statham, Ga., Joshua Teague, Toccoa, Ga., Jennifer Bennett, Winder, Ga., Rebecca Zook, Lewistown, Penn., 8 Great grandchildren also survive, a sister, Annie Whaley, Ft. Payne, Alabama. A number of nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
Mrs. Teague is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence Calvin Teague and a son, Rev. Ronney B. Teague.
Graveside services will be held Thursday January 9, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Believers Baptist Church Cemetery, 742 Bethesda School Road, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30044. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Thursday January 9 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
