Louis was born in Salisbury, NC on June 11, 1941, to the late Jim and M. A. Adams and was raised in New Holland Mill Village. He was preceded in death by his sweet wife of 60 years Judy Adams. He and his wife Judy were devoted Christians and active members of Air Line Baptist Church where he served as deacon, choir member, cook, and anywhere else needed.
Louis served in the U.S. Army and later worked close to 40 years for Georgia Power as an electrician and later in substation construction. He also loved to build and work with wood and has built many things over the years. One of the most amazing things he built was a two-story barn on his farm, which he built single handedly.
Louis loved to joke around and have fun and has always been a kid at heart with a heart for kids. He combined his love for kids and woodworking to build and give away well over 200 wooden logging trucks and tanker trucks plus pouting chairs he would build and Judy would paint and give to children in the family, at church, and in the community.
He was also preceded in death by his older brother, Allen Adams, and younger sister, Shirley Adams Doss
Many are left to carry on his Godly legacy, son, Kirk (Sheila) Adams, Lula; daughter, Beth (Scott) Puckett, Lula; grandchildren, Lauren (Jimmy) Byers, Lula, Drew (Heidi) Adams, Gainesville, Megan (Rick) Little, Lula, Mallory Puckett, Lula; great-grandchildren; James Byers, Everett Little, Colton Adams, AnnMarie Byers, Eleanor Little, Brody Adams, Emerson Little, Adaline Adams, Deacon Adams; and other special relatives and friends.
