Melvin Ray Albertson, 83, of Clermont, Georgia passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 2, 1941, Melvin lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Reba Albertson. Sixty-Five years together, they built a strong family foundation that includes their children: Wayne and Joann Albertson, Joyce Savage, and Janet and Gerald Simmonds. Melvin was a proud grandfather to Amanda Knudsen, Michael Albertson, Jennifer Burgett, and Derek Savage, and he was a caring great-grandfather to Thomas Albertson, Leighton Albertson, and Cooper Burgett.
Melvin had a passion for his work in masonry, where he honed his skills and took great pride in creating lasting structures. In addition to his work, he found joy in fishing and spending time outdoors, often tinkering and finding new projects to start around the house.
A celebration of Melvin's life will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Main Campus Gainesville on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to come share their stories and memories of a man who touched many lives with his kindness and smile.
Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, Main Campus Gainesville at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 for those who wish to attend.
Preceded in death by father, TJ Albertson, mother, Mary D Emmett, and brothers, Charles and Harold Albertson.
Melvin will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
