Shirley Jean Rogers

Shirley Jean Rogers, age 82, of Gillsville, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel starting at 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January, 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel.

Shirley was born in Hall County, Georgia on April 21, 1942, to the late Lee Howard Griffin and Lottie Ester Griffin. She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Rogers and brother-in-law Luke Turner.

Shirley worked for over 25 years at Gainesville Manufacturing and then at Coronet Carpets Manufacturing. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Lebanon Methodist Church. She loved to bake cakes, and to take care of her family. She was always kind, loving and generous to those she loved.

Shirley is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Griffin, Johnnie Turner and Mary Ann Pethel; nephews Scott Turner, Wesley Pethel, Jason Pethel and Steve Turner as well as special relatives Caroline Keener and Arrahwannah Turpin.
