Ida Mary Ferrara

Mrs. Ida Mary Ferrara, age 95 of Clermont, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at her residence.            

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Hopewell Baptist Church.  Rev. Gary Wilson and Rev. David Wenger will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  Mrs. Ferrara will be inurned with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery.

Mrs. Ferrara was born February 6, 1929 to the late Michael & Carolina Tamasi in Princeton, New Jersey.  A member of Hopewell Baptist Church, she was previously employed by Southern Bell, Ivory Van Lines and Holiday Inn, but her favorite job was being Nana, and she was everyone’s Nana.

Mrs. Ferrara is survived by her children, David & Martha Ferrara of Cuernavaca, Mexico and Donna & David Foster of Clermont; grandchildren, Kim, David, Michael, Angela and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Ryane, Malachi, Clayton and Caleb; and sisters, Carole Harris of Manahawkin, New Jersey and Helen Olson of Sparta, Wisconsin.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent “Vinny” Lawrence Ferrara; siblings, Angelo Tamasi, Anthony Tamasi, James Tamasi, Carmela Hardy, Angelina Friel, Marion Pollack and Mary Gianacaci; and step-son, Michael Williams.
