Grover Jackson “Jacky” Simpson

Grover Jackson "Jacky" Simpson, 76, of Commerce, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 2, 2025. He was born on April 2, 1948, to Grover and Lillian F. Simpson in Hall County Georgia.
Jacky was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Ray Lancaster, and his brothers James E. Simpson and Jeffery “Jeff” D. Simpson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Virginia Pressley Simpson; his son and daughter-in-law, Grover Douglas “Doug” and Kathy Simpson; his daughter and son-in-law, Missie Simpson and Ricky Hutchins; and his cherished grandchildren, Ashley Young, Kimberly Simpson, Brianna Simpson, Andy Kent, and A.J. and Chrissy Kent. Jacky was also blessed with great-grandchildren Landan, Kynleigh, Esten, Luke, Greyson, and David. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers-in-law Linda S. Harrison (Frank) and Gloria S. Jones (Glenn), his sisters-in-law Jackie P. McDaniel, Sue P. Wilson, and Rosie P. McDaniel, Betty G. Simpson, Mozelle H. Simpson, and many nieces and nephews.
Jacky was the proud owner of Commerce Mobile Home Installers from 1985 to 2009 and later served as a supervisor at Doug’s Mobile Truck Repair in Jefferson, Georgia.
He found joy in spending time in the Smoky Mountains, coon hunting, fishing, camping, NASCAR, and football. Above all, his greatest love was for his family.
Jacky was a devoted member of The Church of God in Commerce, Georgia, and his faith was a cornerstone of his life.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
