Amy Robbins Carlisle

Obituary Date: Thursday, December 19, 2024

Amy Robbins Carlisle passed away on December 19, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Michael Everett Robbins.

Amy was born on October 12, 1981, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA, and grew up in Suwanee and Sugar Hill, GA. During her formative years, she discovered a passion for working with children while attending North Gwinnett High School and working part-time at Great Beginnings Day Care in Sugar Hill.

After high school, Amy earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of North Georgia and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University. While at Brenau, she served on the Leadership Committee for Grades K-5. She devoted her career to teaching in Hall and Gwinnett counties. Her nurturing spirit and encouragement profoundly impacted the children she had the privilege of teaching. Amy was also known for her talent in crafting beautiful school decorations and creating a welcoming environment for her students.

As a child, Amy was a Girl Scout, a member of her church’s children’s choir, and a vibrant participant in ballet, soccer and cheerleading. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and singing along to her favorite music. In adulthood, she found joy in crafting and creating meaningful projects that reflected her creativity. Amy also lived with her mother, providing companionship and assistance. Her mother will always be grateful for the care and support Amy gave during this time.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her cherished daughter, Caroline, with whom she shared an enduring love. Amy was also a “big sister” to Lisa Robbins and Michael Robbins (Lauren) and a proud aunt to Forrest Robbins. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, including her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In honor of Amy’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.

Amy’s life was marked by her creativity, warmth, and care toward her loved ones and students. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
