Lola Mae Bruce Farmer, age 93, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Rev. Lonnie J. Farmer; daughter, Marcia Farmer Church; parents, George and Estelle Parker Bruce; sons-in-law, Paul Church, Dale O’Rouke.
Mrs. Farmer is survived by her daughters. Linda (Dick) Willett of Pikeville, TN, Kathy Farmer O’Rouke of Sugar Hill; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Farmer was born on January 14, 1931 in Woodstock, GA. She received her education at Sugar Hill High School. Mrs. Farmer retired from Scientific Atlanta at the Pleasant Dale Road Facility after twenty-five years of service. She was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church. Mrs. Farmer enjoyed reading, crocheting, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family and neighbors. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Level Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor Elaine Wilder and Rev. Michael Youngblood officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens located in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at Level Creek United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., time of the Service.
