Jean Anglin Richardson Thomas, 77, of Dahlonega passed away suddenly on December 27, 2024 following a period of declining health.
Born February 14, 1947, Jean was affectionately known as “Mimi” and had been a resident of Dahlonega for almost 20 years. Formerly of Griffin, Jean worked for many years as the secretary of Jackson Road Elementary School, an executive secretary at Coca-Cola, and administrative assistant at the Georgia Municipal Association. A devoted and loving wife and mother, Jean was an active member of Dahlonega Methodist Church. She never met a stranger and to know her was to love her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Richardson and son, Chris Richardson.
Surviving are her husband, Greg Thomas of Dahlonega; sons, Jon Richardson (Nicole), Matt Richardson (Kristin) of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Jordan, William, Genevieve, Donovan, Maya, Maddie, Patrick, Mary Anglin, Reagan; great-grandchildren, Ember, Luna; sister, Judy Anglin Young Haas (Carl) of Ellijay; step-children, Jennifer Sindelar (Scott), Clint Thomas, Cody Thomas; niece and nephew, Jessica Tyler (Todd) and their children, Brett Young (Laura) and their children; other special loved ones, Tifanie Keldorph, Lori Woolwine, Lois Anderson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday January 4, 2025 at Dahlonega Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Dr. Steve Schofield and Rev. Paul Bennett will officiate.
