Floy Mae Jones Jackson

Floy Mae Jones Jackson, 83, of Gainesville, passed away on December 24, 2024, atter a period of declining health. She was born on January 25, 1941, to Thurman V & Jeanette Smith Jones. She was a graduate of North Hall High School, class of 1960, and retired from Southern Moulding/Macklanburg-Duncan after more than 40 years of employment. She was a longtime member of Mt Vernon Baptist Church, Murrayville, GA.

Floy was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Jackson, her parents, infant brother, and brothers-in-law Hugh Nix and Stanley Wade. She is survived by brother Randall T (Margaret) Jones, sisters Janice Nix and Kathy Wade. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Ford (Sue) Oliver, Kate (Bill) Maine, Sondra Perkins, Wes Oliver, Rob Gibson, Angie (Stan) Liss, Ed (Chrissie) Gibson, Andrea (Brian) Dyer, Julie (Chad) Bowmar and many other friends and family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 12noon at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Murrayville, GA with Rev. Steve Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
