It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kwelib Raéquan McGowan, who departed this life on 12/17/24 at the age of 23. Born on September 25, 2001, Kwelib Raéquan McGowan was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend whose spirit touched the lives of MANY. Kwelib Raéquan McGowan was a dedicated student who graduated from Johnson High School in 2019 where he demonstrated a passion for learning and a commitment to his education. He furthered his academic journey at Fort Valley State University, pursuing a degree in psychology. His aspiration to understand the human mind and help others was a testament to his compassionate nature. He leaves behind cherished memories with his loving mother, Kenya Stephens, and his four devoted sisters: Rayniqua McGowan, Monaé Cantrell, Genesis Rayven Parker McGowan, and R'eona Arnold. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond McGowan, who passed away on July 12, 2013. Kwelib Raéquan McGowan also leaves behind a special friend, Kaddarius Thomas, who stood by his side through thick and thin.
