Douglas Rabun Johnson

Douglas Rabun Johnson, age 87, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

He was preceded in death by parents, Willie and Irene Johnson; sister, Lois Johnson Ingram; brothers, Harold and Ernest Johnson; first wife, Jearldeen Johnson; and daughter, Cynthia Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by daughter, Donna Johnson; grandsons, Jeremy and Jamie Payne and families; as well as second wife, Cathy Johnson; step children, Michael and Sharon McDougal; sisters, Jean Kilgore and Peggy Litchfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Johnson was born on June 23, 1937 in Buford, GA and graduated from Sugar Hill High School in 1955. He was a retired lead print pressman from Diddler Printing, and was a former member and pastor of Flowery Branch Church of God. His favorite songs were I’ll Meet You in the Morning and Just Inside the Eastern Gate.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford, GA. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
