Dr. Jeffrey Patrick Blair, age 74, of Hoschton, GA (formerly of Richmond, VA) earned his heavenly reward on December 17, 2024 on the 18th hole of the golf course. Jeff was born in Gary, Indiana on March 18, 1950. He completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University and attended The IU School of Dentistry. While at IU he was a brother in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He completed a general dentistry residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, followed by 5 years of general dentistry practice in LaPorte, IN. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric dentistry at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where he met the love of his life, SuAnne Bennett. He asked Lucius Bennett for permission to marry his only daughter and promised to treat her like a queen and he did for almost 38 years! They married in 1987 and moved to Richmond, VA where they settled for 33 years and raised their family. He owned his own pediatric dental practice in Richmond for 30 years.
Jeff and SuAnne were active members in their church and loved hosting game nights.
Since moving to Georgia Jeff was active at Free Chapel Church, where he served on the parking team. He was a member of the Flowery Branch Men of Christ Bible Study. He enjoyed volunteering with the Prison ministry. He was also a member of the WEAG Acts 17:11 Men’s Bible study.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Marge Blair, his brother Dr. William Blair, Jr. and his twin babies Michael and Katherine Blair.
Dr. Blair is survived by his wife of 37 years SuAnne Bennett Blair and sons Jonathan Patrick and Bennett Andrew (Celena) and daughter Amanda Kathleen Blair. He was affectionately known as Papa Bear to grandson Jayden Sandridge-Blair and granddaughter Scarlett Adelina-Grace Blair. He is survived by his sister Bridget L. Bowman and sister-in-law Beth Blair. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who all adored their Uncle Jeff.
Funeral services will be held at Free Chapel Braselton Campus (2001 Cherry Drive Braselton, GA) at 1pm on Monday, December 23, 2024. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the hour of the service. There will also be a memorial service at West End Assembly of God in Richmond, VA on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 3pm with family visitation to follow.
