Deborah Lynn Padgett

Deborah Lynn Padgett, age 75, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Elene Purvis; husband, Weldon Leon Padgett; son Walter Eugene Thrailkill. Mrs. Padgett is survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Thrailkill and Heather Thrailkill; sister, Karen (Bob) Peters of Oxford, GA and their children, Candy, Lisa, Jamie and Jeffrey; brother, Alan (Brenda) Purvis of Covington, GA and their children, Shawn and Mitchell; brother-in-law, Larry Padgett.

She was born on December 2, 1949 in Butler, GA and was a graduate of Towers High School in Decatur, GA. She worked many years as a medical assistant. She enjoyed hobbies including dirt track racing in which she drove her own car, and she loved fishing and camping. Deborah never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. She was a strong Christian lady who loved her family and friends very much. Graveside Services will be held at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Deborah requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
