Jimmy Joel Dixon, age 79, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Mr. Dixon was born on October 14, 1945, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Marvin and Lillian Caudell Dixon. He was the owner of Jimmy D’s Grading and a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church. Jimmy loved the Lord, his family, cousins, and friends. Caudell Christmas was his favorite day of the year. He will be remembered as a hard-working man and a devoted son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Jimmy never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Dixon; daughter, Renee Dixon; and sister, Jean Dixon.
Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Verlene and Julian Hulsey, and Connie and Lawton O’Kelley; brother, Jerry Dixon; nieces and nephews, Brandi and Jared Bingham, Kayla Hart and Matthew Teems, Keith and Amy Hulsey, Kent and Deborah Hulsey, Beverly and Dean Smith, and Brad and Mandy Dixon; great-nephews, Avery and Aiden Bingham; Godchildren, Gracie and Arianna Hart and Renee and Larry Sutton,; several cousins and other family members also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Taylor, the Rev. Paul Flynn, and the Rev.
