John Ogden Mims

John Ogden Mims, age 83, of Auburn, GA passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by parents, James H and Lois Mims; and brothers, James Henry Mims III and Joe Mims. Mr. Mims is survived by his daughters, Sheryl (Douglas) Munch of Oakwood, GA, Marianna (Mark) Pirkle of Auburn, and Patricia Mims of New Orleans, LA; seven grandchildren; sister, Margaret (James) Gross of Perry, FL; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Mims was born on June 29, 1941 and was a veteran of the U S Army. He graduated in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Soule Business College, retiring as fleet administrator form Mainstem Company. Mr. Mims was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Duluth, GA and also attended Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, GA. He loved fishing and enjoyed camping. No formal service is planned at this time.
