Betty Sue Couch

Betty Sue Couch, 90 of Gainesville died Monday December 9, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Couch was the daughter of the late Homer and Ruth Reed Gilleland.  She was a graduate of Oakwood High School and The Perry Business School.  Mrs. Couch retired from Gilleland Concrete where she worked as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Couch was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Mrs. Couch is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Janie Sue Couch, grand-daughter Crystal Couch, and brother, James Gilleland.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Billy Couch, Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Vickie Couch, Flowery Branch, son, Craig Couch, Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Brian Lykins, Gainesville, grandchildren, Drew Couch (Rebekah), Flowery Branch, Cody Couch, Flowery Branch, Kyle Couch, Flowery Branch, Kayla Brown (Jeremy), Zebulon, Ga., Cole Lykins, Brina Lykins, Brooke Lykins, all of Gainesville, Melissa Notebaert, Flowery Branch, great grandchildren, Samson, Hadley and Morgan, sister, Sandra MacDonald, Commerce. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. David Matthews will officiate. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday December 11 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorial contributions please be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church, P.O. Box 7013, Chestnut Mountain, Georgia 30502 in memory of Mrs. Couch.
