Susie Young Payne

Mrs. Susie Young Payne, age 68 of Davis Avenue, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Henry Young and Doris Jones Young, she was born March 18, 1956 in Gainesville, Georgia having lived most of her life in Marietta and Toccoa.  She was a homemaker, loved watching television, especially booger movies and soap operas and she loved sprite.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Payne and by a brother, Earl Young.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Danny Thomason of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Scottie and Suewana Powell of Toccoa; grandchildren, Alex (Bryan) Thomason, Tyler Powell, Mason Powell, Angel Powell, Timmy Tullis and Ashlyn Saylors; step-daughter, Tammy Lynn Baxter of Rome, Georgia; step-son, Tony Payne, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia; sister, Winona Young of Toccoa.

Graveside services will be Friday, December 13, 2024, 2 o’clock p.m. at Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Scottie Powell, Danny Thomason, Danny McIntyre, Alex Thomason, Bryan Donnelly and Timmy Tullis.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from noon until 1:30 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

The family would like to thank Tugalo Home Health Staff for their kindness and great care extended to their loved one. 

Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Susie Young Payne.

The family will receive friends following the graveside at the home of Kim Thomason, 175 The View Drive, Toccoa.
