Carol Jean Milligan Hill

Carol Jean Milligan Hill, 73, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 after battling ovarian cancer.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Rev. Jeremy Shoulta will officiate.  Music will be provided by Rev. Mark Green.

Carol Jean was born on November 11, 1951 as the beloved child of Carroll and Betty Jean Milligan of Athens, Georgia.  After retiring from BellSouth where she started working at 16, she finished her career with The Fockele Garden Company.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville.

In addition to her parents and two siblings that died early, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Hill.

Carol Jean is survived by a son and daughter in law, Jason and Tosha Hill of Gainesville, Georgia; daughter, Jennifer Vann of Gainesville; three grandsons, Dillon Martin, Chance Martin, Jake Vann; precious granddaughter Bella Vann; great grandchildren Myles and Aubrey Martin and cousins and friends.  To know her was to love her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Humane Society of North Georgia, 845 W Ridge Road, Gainesville, Georgia in honor of her last love, her dog, Donald.
