Annabell Beck

Annabell Beck, 84, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at her residence.

Born October 8, 1940 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Cilie and Almeda Shrewsbury, she lived most of her life in Dawson and Lumpkin Counties.  Along with her husband, they owned and operated a poultry farm for many years.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Franklin Barnell Beck; sisters, Cathleen Murray, Nan Cole, Charlotte Brown; and a brother, Cilie Shrewsbury, Jr.

Surviving are her son and daughter in law, Tony and Emily Beck, Dahlonega; grandson, Benjamin Beck, Dahlonega; sister, Georgia Ellen Bowen, Tampa, FL; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 2 o’clock at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  The remains will be placed in state at 1:30.  Rev. Gary Keown and Rev. Scott Day will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
