Michael W. “Mike” Evans

Michael W. “Mike” Evans, 62, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his residence.

Born February 15, 1962 to the late G. W. and Mescal Evans, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  Mike was a 1981 graduate of Dawson County High School.  For several years he owned and operated Silver City Service Station after which he was a driver for Evans Garbage Service until his retirement.  Mike was an avid NASCAR fan and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

The family wishes to extend a special than you to Mike’s caregiver, Terri Reece.

Surviving are his son and daughter in law, Forrest and Becky Evans, Dawsonville; sisters and brothers in law, Joyce and Larry Greenway, Dahlonega, Cindy and Elmer Clark, Panama City, FL; brothers and sisters in law, Tim and Cindy Evans, Dawsonville, Jeff and Denise Evans, Murrayville; grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel, Dayla, Caleb; great granddaughter, Marcy; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Andy Wallace and Rev. Scott Sorrells will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
