Jean Stapleton

Jean Stapleton, born on February 12, 1939, in Baxter, TN, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Gainesville, GA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many throughout her 85 years.

Jean was the proud mother of Randall Stapleton, who is married to Phyllis. She also cherished her role as a grandmother to Brandy Stapleton, Ashley Dobbs, Lacey Pardue, Randall Stapleton II, Tiffany Stapleton, and Joshua Stapleton, as well as to 12 great-grandchildren who adored her.

A devoted sister, Jean leaves behind Peggy Cho and Robert Evans, who is married to Gloria. She enjoyed the company of her siblings, sharing laughter and memories that will continue to resonate through the family. Additionally, she held fondness for several nieces and nephews, each of whom will miss her warmth and wisdom.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cleo Robinson Evans, a sister, Reba Rayburn and brothers Charles Evans and David Evans, along with two infant siblings. Their memories will forever be a part of her legacy, as Jean carried their love and lessons throughout her life.

Visitation for Jean Stapleton will be held on November 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA, 30529. A funeral service will follow on November 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also at Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Trotter officiating, concluding her celebration of life with love and remembrance at Grey Hill Cemetery.

She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
