Jodie Ann Blunck, age 73, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 10, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Haught and Christine Heath Wells.
Jodie is survived by her loving husband, Rick Blunck of Dahlonega; daughters Nikki (Whitt) Tindol of Gainesville and Natalie (Eric) Schurke of Oakwood; grandchildren Drew and Peyton Tindol; and her dear brother and sister-in-law, Terry (Maggie) Haught.
A vibrant and spirited soul, Jodie brought joy to all who knew her with her infectious smile, sparkling blue eyes, and fiery, playful personality. An animal lover through and through, Jodie was especially fond of cats and dogs and enjoyed the companionship of her beloved pets throughout her life. She was also an avid nature enthusiast, finding peace and happiness in boating, beaching, and long walks in the woods.
Jodie had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She and Rick shared many wonderful memories, including motorcycle rides together, which were a special joy in her life. Her kind heart and caring nature were reflected in her volunteer work at the “Young at Hearts” Club in Dahlonega, where she brought warmth and encouragement to those she served.
Though Jodie’s vibrant spirit will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the many cherished memories she leaves behind.
In keeping with her wishes, Jodie will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the TLC Animal Shelter in Dahlonega, a cause close to Jodie’s heart.
She will forever be remembered for her spunky spirit, her loving nature, and the light she brought to every room.
