Harrell, Jr. of Durham, NC; brother, Christopher Brown (Sierra Harrison); grandfather, Harry Eugene Sadler; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Shavon was educated in the Buford City Schools. Later, she attended Job Corp in Albany, GA where she studied plastering and dry wall trades and obtained her GED. Shavon was multi-talented and mastered any job she held. She worked as a custodian at the post office, in the deli at Kroger, and as a school bus monitor in Gwinnett County Schools in GA. After Shavon married Elder Kenneth L. Harrell, Jr., she moved to Durham and was a Number 1 Homemaker. It was in this role that all her talents and skills were manifested. She was an excellent housekeeper, master cook, a barber to her husband, and a business woman.
Shavon was a loving, caring person. She loved and was concerned about her entire family. However, her greatest love was Jesus, and the most important aspect of her life was her salvation. Shavon’s early religious experiences were at Union Baptist Church and Allen Temple UMC. In her early 20’s, Shavon was converted at Back to the Bible Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Wright. Later, she was baptized in Jesus’ name and joined First Pentecostal Church of Buford in 2007 under the leadership of Bishop Timothy Copeland.
After relocating to Anna, IL, Shavon attended Apostolic Faith Tabernacle from 2015-2019. Throughout her church experience, Shavon was active in youth ministry, outreach, and numerous auxiliaries. She was a soul winner, a prayer warrior, a true Proverbs 31 woman.
