Lanny "Foot" Hicks

Lanny "Foot" Hicks, 73, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 following a period of declining health.
Born February 28, 1951 and raised in Forsyth County, Lanny spent m ost of his life in Dawsonville. He attended Winds Of Peace Fellowship and worked many years for Hill Concrete. Lanny was a loving husband, father and grandfather who leaves behind many friends.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 53 years, Carolyn Hicks of Dawsonville; children, Chris Hicks (Tabitha), Angie Reed (Dwayne), all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Hayley Hicks, Tristan Reed, Hannah Hicks, Hunter Hicks; sister, Shirley Humphries of Pelham; other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tommy Panter, Rev. Andy Wallace and Rev. Danny Ray Martin will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset final expenses.
