Obituary Date: Friday, November 1, 2024

Mrs. Janis Martin Lynn, 88, of Braselton, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Channel, Rev. Drewery Loggins and Dr. Jeff Crook will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Born on February 22, 1936 in Gainesville, Mrs. Lynn was the daughter of the late Oren and Agnes Langford Martin. She was retired from Haverty’s Furniture and was a member of Christ Place Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Lynn; brother, Johnny Thomas Martin and brothers in law, Verden Nalley and Tommie Allen.

A loving wife, mother, sister and friend, Mrs. Lynn is survived by her son and daughter in law, Marty and Diane Cape of Braselton; her loving grandchildren, Justin Cape of Gainesville, Hunter Cape of Dawsonville, Sydney Lindsay of Woodstock, Corbin Lindsay of Oakwood; the apple of her eye, great granddaughters, Blakley Cape of Gainesville; great granddaughter, Lynlee Cape of Dawsonville; sisters, Kathy Allen of Cumming, Brenda Goins of Forest Park. Carol Nalley of Suwanee and a number of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
